Theres this store in Canada that is having a close-out sale on all DVDs (including Wrestling), there weren't much wrestling dvds left but i managed to snag up:

Hard Justice 2007 - $10.00
Instant Classic: Best of Christian Cage - $11.00
XPW Complete First Season - $12.50

All were brand new and sealed, i thought those were excellent deals considering those DVDs go for for $20 and over in Canada.

I went to another location and they didn't have any wrestling DVDs left.

I am pretty happy with my purchases.

i just finished watching Kayfabe Commentaries "You Shoot" with The Honky Tonk Man. i really liked this concept. the interview was okay, HTM does come off pretty bitter. i'm really looking forward to getting kayfabe commentaries new "My Side of the Story" with Greg "The Hammer" Valentine and Tito Santana.

If anyone on here is in or around RI, the Wal-Mart on Silver Spring in Providence has several copies of the Raw Anniversary set with the bonus disc. I'd have grabbed one for myself but I'm not anal enough to spend $20 just to get an extra disc.

FYE in Johnstown PA had the 3rd and 4th volumes of the Rumble Anthology out early for $60, just incase anyone is interested.

BOO!!! They could give 100% off and I wouldn't take it. The only RF stuff I'd watch is copied stuff, to be honest.

deto 12-29-07 10:18 PM

No problem. :toast:

That opening is pretty damn cool. Gotta love the creativity behind stuff like that as opposed to the standard show openings we get here.

Complete List of WWF/E DVD'S

I seem to remember a list of all the titles that WWF/E has released on DVD over the years, but can't seem to find it. I was wondering if anyone could direct me to that post or a site that lists them. I wanted to see about filling some holes in my collection. Thanks.

Kevin

I can't wait for Smackdown to make the jump to HD in January, makes me wonder if WWE will go with Blu-Ray or HD DVD

I could see Toshbia or Sony making a deal with WWE to get them to take a side.

deto 12-30-07 12:21 PM

i'm format neutral, but i hope that eventually WWE goes blu.

i also hope that Dish will have the Royal Rumble in HD. anyone have any info on who will be carrying the Rumble in HD?

according to Wrestling Observer Big vision will release a Best of Rey Mysterio Jr. DVD:

Big Vision Entertainment has announced that they will release a “Best of Rey Misterio Jr. " The Early Years” on DVD on January 8, 2008. The piece will feature independent wrestling footage of Misterio early in his career. The promotional material for the DVD reads: "Rey Misterio, Jr. broke nearly every barrier in pro wrestling when the young Hispanic superstar became wrestling champion of the world! But, long before he would headline for ECW, WCW or WWE, Rey's was honing his craft and sharpening his skills on wrestling shows in the bull rings and small arenas in Mexico. Now, these once lost tapes have been found! Featuring encounters with Psicosis, Juventud Guerrera, La Parka, Octagon, Pentagon, Halloween, Damien and more! With Spanish commentary by the legendary Konnan (WCW, ECW, TNA) and Larry Rivera (XPW) and English commentary by Kris Kloss (XPW, MTV's WSX), this collection is a MUST HAVE for any fan of "the world's most famous luchadore."

Yes, me too. I wonder when RAW will go HD. I'm hoping WWE goes HD-DVD, as I just got aplayer for $179.99 at CostCo today. With that said, I am expecting them to announce BluRay this week now that I got the HD-DVD Player...

JAROTO 12-30-07 08:12 PM

I think its going to be blu ray. i remember reading WWE used sony dvds for their production. Either way i hope Royal Rumble 08 is released in HD format.

ecwfan 12-30-07 09:28 PM

WWE titles are presently distributed by Genius, a subsidiary of the Weinstein Company. Genius presently supports HD DVD, but they haven't released any in months.

So far WWE Films (with Lionsgate?) has released The Marine & Codemned on Blu-ray... hopefully they will keep the trend going. But with most everything shot in full screen, how great could a high def product look on a widescreen television?
