question about young indiana jones dvd

I've seen that it's only available in full frame. I'm surprised this is since all the the other indy pics are anamorphic. Any reason for it from lucas? I'm guessing since it was a tv series and it was all full screen etc. ohh well i guess i'll have to live with it.

It was a TV series that began before widescreen TV existed, or at least before it was common.

Yes, it's a pity you'll have to struggle watching the series the way it was made.

Yeah, it was a TV series. Way back when. It was made in a 4:3 format. Enjoy it as it was the way it was intended and you're not missing out on any of the picture.

You guys are hilarious!

Hey, seriously, though: I've posted some preview clips of Young Indy on DVD, with examples of both episodes and extras. Check it out, okay?

I never seen one episode.
Is this set going to be the whole series or season one?
And was it a good show?
Is it a good blind buy?
I liked the RAIDERS & TEMPLE and HOLY GRAIL was so-so to me.

^ there are going to be 3 sets that encompass the complete series. dunno if the individual sets are divided by season though.

when did this series run on television? i only vaguely recall this show and i don't even remember it having been on air long enough to pack 3 large volumes. i'm surprised at how this sort of passed me by.

The size of the volumes are largely due to the extensive supplements. There's a whole pile of historical documentaries that go along with these episodes.

I'm interested in getting this, but will it be something like 4 discs devoted to the show and 8 devoted to the historical stuff?

Does anyone know if the curse of the jackal is included in the volume 1 set.? I believe it was the pilot 2 part segment. All i see if my first adventure aka young indy solves a mystery in egypt. The curse of the jackal did first take place in egypt so i was just double checking! thanks
