Walker in 2008 from Criterion?

Stumbled across this at The Criterion Collection Forum

from the Alex Cox bio at Seekers 2.0

In 1987 during the Reagan Administration, he directed the staunchly anti-imperialist WALKER in Nicaragua in co-operation with the Sandinista Government. The film screened at the Havana Film Festival, the Torino Festival and in competition at Berlin. Universal Pictures had been persuaded to finance this film and after the rounds of recrimination stopped, Alex's LA sojourn was at an end. The film is currently being restored for DVD release by Criterion in 2008.

Wow, I've been meaning to see this for a really long time. I had taped it on my parents' DVR off of Universal HD, but they erased it (dammit!) before I could settle in to watch it. I happen to love Cox's other output (Straight to Hell is a masterpiece in the most bizarre fashion possible); is it worth seeing? I love Ed Harris as well, and the Joe Strummer score has me very curious. I'm ignoring the no-star review Ebert gave this (that's actually how I first heard about this movie).
