If you have season 4 of South Park, the episode "Helen Keller: The Musical" is a Thanksgiving episode.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that episode.

Also, I just got the whole series of Full House, so here are the episodes that work from that:

Episode 1.9 "The Miracle of Thanksgiving"
Episode 2.9 "Our Very First Christmas Show"
Episode 4.13 "Happy New Year"
Episode 6.12 "A Very Tanner Christmas"
Episode 8.11 "Arrest Ye Merry Gentlemen"

ALSO JUST A HEADS UP, THE CHALLENGE BEGINS IN A LITTLE OVER A WEEK!

I wish Fox would have put out a new SE of Home alone 2 this year instead of Jingle all the way. I taped over my VHS copy hoping that would happen this year.

Yeah I agree, a nice new anamorphic release would be nice for the 15th anniversary! Oh well...

Just making sure, but cartoons count, right?

Say I go thru my loony tunes collection and find 5 different Christmas cartoons, then a Tom and Jerry maybe, a couple ancient Christmas cartoons in an old movie, etc etc. They each count as 1, right?

Thanks, that's what I figured. Just wanted to be sure before I sorted thru my closet of cartoons.

In a couple days, I'll go thru the thread and combine everyone's offerings into a massive list for each holiday, unless someone else beats me to it.

If I can count the Thanksgiving/Christmas related Jerry Springer shows, I am in. If it wasn't for Jerry I would have won the Halloween challenge in a walk.

Oh no, any chance of anyone else "winning" the challenge is now over. FusionX has found us.

On Mighty Joe Young, which one qualifies as Thanksgiving, the original or the Bill Paxton Disney remake, or both?

WTF

I would not count talk shows as entries for this contest. So, then if we are would food network shows count?

If a Thanksgiving special of The Simpsons would count, why wouldn't a Thanksgiving special of Jerry Springer? If you go by volume, it takes twice as long to watch Springer as the half hour shows, so it would be a disadvantage to the viewer, if anything.

The Monkees, you're missing a bunch of stuff in your Thanksgiving list. Just a few that I see: some Gilmore Girls, Northern Exposure, Once and Again, Cheers, all the things in my links in post #68, etc.

Nah, I won't even come close on this one. I think my goal will be 50, maybe a little more if I find enough television shows of interest.

I don't think these were mentioned:

Thanksgiving

90210 Episode 3.15 "The Kindness of Strangers" (unfortunately Season 3 doesn't come out until December 11th)

Diff'rent Strokes Episode 2.11, 2.12 "Thanksgiving Crossover" (This I believe is just a one hour episode)

Doogie Howser, M.D. Episode 2.10 "Don't Let the Turkeys Get You Down"

Christmas

90210 Episode 2.18 "A Walsh Family Christmas"

90210 Episode 3.16 "It's a Totally Happening Life"

Growing Pains Episode 1.12 "A Christmas Story"

Doogie Howser, M.D. Episode 1.13 "Doogie The Red-Nosed Reindeer"

Diff'rent Strokes Episode 1.8, 1.9 "Retrospective Part 1 and 2" (This one I'm a bit unsure about. It takes place during Christmas but a lot of it is clips from previous episodes. I think it's similiar to the Christmas episode from the first season of Family Ties. That took place during Christmas but it was mostly about each kid's birth. Personally, I think if that one counts so should these episodes.)

Thanks, I had been working on them but this is your baby, so go for it. I have the time to do it this morning so just let me know if you want that.

Also, sorry to keep harping, but can we please make the end date 1/01/08? I have an ethical dilemma with watching New Year's movies before New Year's Day.

Most excellent. I was hoping somebody would do this. I would have tried, but I don't have the stamina.

Sorry TM, I had the list half done and got tired of waiting. I've pulled everything Thanksgiving from this thread, the two older threads, the links here, and some googling.

I'll let you do Christmas.

I'll update if people have additions.

Edit - Just found a few more w/ some googling. Also confirmed that we have to count Hannah and Her Sisters. It is listed in pretty much every Thanksgiving Movie List on the net. I don't own it and won't watch it, so I'm not biased here.
