I haven't seen this movie yet, will be buying it 'cause of the features. I'm sure I will like it, it's Fincher. Love all of Fincher's Movies and SE DVD's.

Sweet plate of extras, except for I would have loved either a Robert Graysmith commentary or interviews unless he's in some of those mentioned.

Been waiting for the SE, so good.

You know I always wondered. WTF is 'Available to Own' supposed to mean?

As opposed to what, "Sure you can buy it, but you have to give it back in two weeks." ?

It's antiquated language from the VHS era when movies were usually sold to rent at a ridiculously high price and not marketed to the public.

p.s. I'll be trading in a bad Christmas present or two for this come January 8.

Only a few minutes? Just seems strange, from what Fincher has been saying, I thought it would be like 30 minutes longer or something.

I missed it in theaters, didn't have a chance yet to buy the DVD, so that's good news for me!

It's also possible that Fincher trimmed or altered a few scenes, so I wouldn't base a judgment on running time alone.

I thought Fincher said he cut like 20-30 minutes from the film, so I did expect a little longer of a cut. Regardless, I didn't buy the 1st release so this is a no-brainer for me. Sometimes it just feels good when you don't have to double dip.

Glad it's comming out so early. Can't wait to pick this up as I loved the movie. Hopefully the extras will be worth the wait.

I thought I read it was a different cut of the film with some stuff removed and some added bits here and there. I know there is some footage after they go to Leigh's trailer. I also heard there was a great transition scene of several years involving music and visual effects that he didn't want to remove. I may be wrong though. One of my favorite films of the year and I held off in anticipation of this release.

no, it could be altered within the whole movie but i was just saying theres no point in really upgrading for some people

i have the normal one, and really thats a decent cut on its own

Rented the original release because I was aware of this upcoming DC, so I'm glad to hear that we won't have to wait too long for it and I'm sure it'll be my first buy of '08.

I loved the movie but found the video quality of the DVD to be very lacking, hopefully the DC will have that fixed.

Added footage hopefully means new transfer. Although the additional footage is minimal, i trust anything Fincher does...I'm sure it will be great.
Definatley my favorite film of 2007 and will be my first purchase of 2008.

Same here - it's definitely one of my favorite films of the year, but I skipped buying the current release in anticipation of an SE.
