Me too!

This was inevitible. However, with the fourth book out, there will probably be another movie. Heh, by then, I'll have some kind of HD player.

Actually, there are 5 Bourne books, 3 by Ludlum and 2 by some other guy.

(I'm reading The Bourne Identity right now and enjoying it.)

Ah, even more reason to get this set sooner than later. It would be a while before that 5th book is made into a movie, if at all. Did the third movie do well at the box office?

The original books were excellent, and deviate quite a bit from the movies, as is the norm with that sort of thing. Eric Lustbader has continued the Bourne saga after Robert Ludlum's death. Havent ready any of his Bourne books, as I havent really liked some of his other books.

As for the dvd set, I probably won't be getting it, unless there is some real drastic improvement over the first 2 discs. I will of course pick up the third movie when it comes out.

Didn't Damon say that he was totally done with Bourne after making the 3rd film?

And to answer a previous question: the 3rd film did gangbusters at the box office. It's still doing well and sitting above $210mil.

I have the first two films, which I got for $10 total @ BB during a sale, so I might spring for the LE box if the price and features are right.

I'll probably pick this set up. Loved the first two Bourne films but haven't seen the third. This is one of those rare trilogies that I have held off buying the individual movies for and instead waited for the inevitable boxset.

if i decide to get this, paying $9.99 with a free ($8.50) ticket to Ultimatium for the first two movies and watching them just prior to BU is not a bad thing imo.

Since I, as another person mentioned, bought the Bourne Files at BB for $9.99 (with an equivalent ticket inside), it was basically free and I have no problem dropping for this new set if it's got good features.

Damon saying that he was "done with the series" is Hollywood-speak for "lets talk money" -- I read in USA Today he and Greengrass would consider doing more if the current movie turned out to be a success, which it is. Greengrass said "We'll leave it up to the public" meaning, box office numbers would/could dictate more movies. As it stands there is too much $$$ to be made for the stars, director and studio not to keep the series going.

I'll get this, even though I have the files set. It was only like 10 bucks, so no big deal.

Already bought the Bourne Files but only paid $10 (and the free ticket), so I'll probably pony up for this collection... depending on the price, though.

I am assuming that the 4th Disc is just the bonus disc from the "Files" collection

When a movie-pack comes out on DVD before the next movie arrives in theaters, shouldn't people expect that there will be another -- probably better -- repackaging later on with all the movies? The Saw "trilogy" is coming out along with Saw IV. Anyone who complains about buying the trilogy is a moron.

Reminds me of the Star Trek movie series collection. Every time Paramount would make one of the movies SE, they'd repackage the collection with that SE and the rest were the bare-bones titles. Then the next movie would get the SE treatment and they'd do it all over again.

I can't imagine another movie made any time soon. The interviews I read with the two of them said they'd be open to making another one, but the 3rd one wrapped everything up that there's really no where else to go with this story. They'd have to start all over with a new story. I don't know anything about the books, but do they all have to do with his memory loss, or can they mine a book for a new movie?

I'm picking this one up without hesitation.
