Apparently there's a PAL version, but I'm not paying $38 (assuming that's dollars) for it.

Mine too, which I got at Sat Matinee here on LI. I didn't check the discs though for content, I automatically assumed both were 50 (war of 04). EDIT: and I was wrong, as one disc is 49 and one is 50 even though they have the same sticker. Whats funny is 49 advertises the UFC 50 dvd as Ortiz v Metzger III. And just for the record, my 56 is 56 (which I got online).

The big Lots (the 3-4 of them) I've been to haven't had 1 UFC DVD, and I have been looking too. By the time I find them I'll have them all (minus the rare ones like 39-42)

That should be everything.
add to that:

Also, in Australia there's a region free release of 11-20, all of which come in their own seperate cases and on their own seperate disc.

Quick question, do the PRIDE DVDs feature any kind of Japanese alternate commentary tracks?

Re: The Official MMA DVD Discussion Thread (UFC/Pride & Other)

Can anyone tell me the origins of these sets? It seems nearly all of the UFC events are available this way (in addition to the 9 disc, UFC 1-80 set) are these Aussy imports, or other region 0 imports? Any background would be great, they run about $50-60 each set......

Re: The Official MMA DVD Discussion Thread (UFC/Pride & Other)

Does anyone know where I can find the Ultimate Iceman original release which comes in the slip cover? I can only find the newer release which only has the dvd case and not the slip case/cover over top of it.

Thanks

I found mine at Saturday Matinee when they first started the $5 "bargain" UFC dvds about 6 months back. I'd assume your only bet is at a used store, or on ebay. Just message the seller to ask if it's included, hell even Amazon. I'll check out my local stores for you too and let you know.

Re: The Official MMA DVD Discussion Thread (UFC/Pride & Other)

To anyone who owns the Club version of UFC 57, is the color of the writing on the spine of the dvd cover different from those of other dvds released at retail? Mine almost looks faded compared to all the other 20+ UFC's released with the black background/yellow letter scheme that were released. I'm hoping it's how all of them are, and that I didn't get ripped with a sun burned POS. I'll have pics later tonight or tomorrow.

Mine copy looks the same as the normal versions of 56 and 58 I have next to it.

Ah man....the seller has a number of them straight from the factory and they're all the same way/same color scheme. I do have to say I'm disappointed. Would you be? Here's a pair of pics:

What's up fellas... glad to find others into mma dvds as much as I am. There are some nice collections here. Here are a few pics of mine for anyone interested:

I've also got dream 1-10, affliction banned and day of reckoning but am still working on cases and disc art for those.

Here is my ufc collection:

working on new cases for ultimate brazil, ultimate japan, ultimate ultimate 95, and 96. I also have Ultimate fight night 1-18 and all the finale's for tuf. The wife thinks I'm obsessed...lol

Misc:

I've also got wec 1-35, working on cases and art... just don't have the time for everything.

Re: The Official MMA DVD Discussion Thread (UFC/Pride & Other)

Amazon is advertising "Ufc Ultimate 100 Moments" @ a price of 83.99, to be released on November 17th. For that price I'm assuming all the matches are shown in it's entirety, which would be awesome if you ask me.

Re: The Official MMA DVD Discussion Thread (UFC/Pride & Other)

Heads up, gohastings.com is having a 30% off sale, the best part is a ton of UFC dvds are eligible for the sale, and they already are selling at ridiculously low prices (under $3 each). I paid $11 total, shipping included, for UFC 45, 46, 50, & 51. I was able to round out my collection, I now own every individual event from 43-99. Next up, PrideFC numbered individual dvds!

I had the same problem with one that I bought from Sam Goody. I was pissed as hell. I took it over to my boys house to watch it since Rich has always been his favorite fighter. I popped it in and I was watching Super Natural, which I already owned. I order another from Amazon.com and got the right disc that time thank god.

Re: The Official MMA DVD Discussion Thread (UFC/Pride & Other)

Got another UFC 57 with no color variant on the spine. I also was able to get my hands on Best of 2005. Cost me an arm & a leg, but well worth it to me.

What's the story with the UFC packs that are on ebay, you know the ones that are 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-37, and 38-42? Are they imports, Canadian? I see from the auctions they are region 0. Before I invest $60 a set, can anyone give me further info on them?

I've bought the UFC packs in the past. I picked up 1-10, 11-20, 21-30. They are basically VHS converts. 1 dvd holds 2 events, The start up menu lets you select which event you wanna watch. There's' no match selection or extras. The quality is that of a above average VHS tape. They play fine on my dvd and are in fact region 0.

Are they worth it. It was for me since it's taking forever for Zuffa to release their old tapes. I might even pull the trigger on 31-37. I mean their still on what UFC 12 as far as classics go, I mean there really missing the boat on this.

Re: The Official MMA DVD Discussion Thread (UFC/Pride & Other)

Ufc 31-37 is decent but not compressed right. Sometimes you can see some interference during fast strikes or kicks. Quite annoying at times. I have seen a ufc 38-42 pack also and am not sure if the compression is the same. They are from Australia I think. Hope this helps.

I'm with you on that one. I haven't purchased the UFC Box Sets yet, I'm just waiting for UFC/ZUffa to release their old events. I actually E-mailed the UFC Store in regards to that. Maybe if enough people do it, they will start to release them again. They still need to release UFC 39-38 including Ultimate Ultimate 95 & 96, Ultimate Brazil & Japan & UFC 37.5. I also asked them to please release PrideFC Shockwave 2002, PrideFC The Best Volume 1, 2 & 3, Ultimate Fight Nights w/Undercard Fights DVD's or Box Sets & WEC Event DVD's. We'll see what happens.
