This would be awesome! (chat room discussion while watching same DVD idea)
 

If DVDtalk could pick out a certain movie and set up a certain time for everyone to watch it. We all play it at the same time and set up a chatroom to discuss whats happening in the movie. It is alot better than it sounds. They did this a few months ago on the radio and it was pretty cool. Just an idea.

I seem to recall some kind of "movie club" type of thing where members agreed to watch a certain movie in a given week...way back in the early days when I joined. I never participated (because I worked two jobs and just didn't have the time to watch the movies when they were scheduled to be viewed) but I seem to recall it went fairly well.

im a fan of a dvdtalk chat room in general, i havent found a good dvd real time chat room ever.

What would be fucking awesome (like, totally) is if people didn't have such vague thread titles! AWESOME, DUDE!

I find that keeping my hands off my johnson while the movie is playing works pretty well... :D

We've done something similar on a beer board I belong to... an online, parallel beer tasting session.

Everyone could just jump into a Yahoo IM conference and watch the movie. Just gotta get everyone's on the same schedule.

Or we can all go to layziebone's place to watch the movie. I'll bring the pizza.

We should do this when Rob Zombie’s version of Halloween comes to DVD, you wouldn’t even have to sit by the computer, just type some of you're favorite curse words & you’d be finished.

Or we could all watch a season of Scrubs at the same time & you’d just have to type, ‘Fu*k Nateman likes this show way too much’.
