I have the HD-DVD so I just want to get the 1 disc to lend to people and watch at work. I just want to know what sort of packaging it is, they did mention it would come with a slipcase and abit of a digipak.
I got it. It's a standard(clear) dvd case with the cardboard type sleeve.

Just a heads up to anyone in RI or Southeastern MA: The Target in Warwick RI still had about 20-30 of the transforming cases as of yesterday.

What no one seems to know (or care about, which is fair enough!) is that the figures in the BB exclusive are the "Robot Heroes", which I got hooked on buying by extension of the Marvel "Superhero Squad" figures. So I think I'm one of the few who are quite happy with them!

You forgot to mention.. they are variants of the said series

If you only bought one of the Costco sets, you're missing the other keychain.

Wow.. Crazy.. I thought I was going overboard when I went down to get the FYE steelbook but also got the Futureshop ones locally..

Walmart here have the 1 disc w/ prequel bonus if you want a Canadian packaging one..

I did also see the Costco sets still available when I was down there, but didn't realize you only get 1 of the keychains.. Can you tell on the package which one? Or is it totally random?

After watching the 2 discs, I'm so glad i got the steelbooks. The menus and featurettes repeatedly show the grey autobot and decepticon insignias in front of black backgrounds. This is a perfect fit with the artwork on the steelbooks. The artwork on the regular 2-disc set now seems pretty unrelated to the discs.

Hey Xage, are the FYE and Future steelbooks exactly the same?
Also, that dual-sided steelbook where did you get it from? I ordered mine from CDwow... supposed to be released on Nov.2nd, so I'm still waiting.

Oh, and uh... does anybody have a pic of that steelbook menu?

The best thing about this dvd - it loads up and goes straight to the menu! I can't remember the last time a release did that. No commercials, trailers, etc. A most welcome surprise.

So true! Maybe more movies need the advertising directly in the film!

They actually put the only preview at the end of the movie, right after the credits, that actually trails the movie!

Great collection there, Xage. As usual

Its not about the keychain that I go after in the set.. its the huge lenticular book.

For those who would like the very best of the giftsets, I recommend the Bestbuy Canada giftset. Not only the stuffs inside are cool but the challenge of getting one is hard (since its only situated in Canada's Bestbuy)

Fellow Canadian DVDtalk members, are there still stocks of this boxset at your nearest Bestbuy?

Do the 2 disk sets have commentary and the 1 disk set doesn't?

The closest 3 BB to me sold out on day 1. I'm in Vancouver.. I was flying back on vancation that day, so didn't have a chance..

I did order 2 in the mail though, waiting to pick it up at the mail box..

Hi Guys.

I heard in one of the reviews that the bonus disc has Frank Welker's audition tape, is this true or not as I'd really like to know.
