Just got back from seeing the final cut at the theater. Now I doubly can't wait for that shipping notice for the briefcase. C'mon, Amazon... ship it now

That's the Spain version of the set, which is region 2.

I thought that was Portuguese?

I did hear that the briefcase would be released around in that region, but I heard it was only gonna be the case with the HD and BR releases...

...not that it really matters, TBH. I wouldn't want to non-english version of MY briefcase - and that includes the dual-language covers for Canadian market. Oh, how I hate them so...

Awww hells yeah! I noticed some of the changes, mostly in backgrounds and lighting.

I think I actually ordered mine thru Barnes & Noble, but regardless, that shipping notice is highly anticipated!

w00t!

I cannot wait for this glorious set on HD-DVD. That review makes this sound soooo awesome. I ordered the 5-disk HD-DVDs set (even though I'm not usually a big fan of buying HD-DVD) and I so wish i had this right now so i can dive right into it.

I pre-ordered mine at Amazon as well, and can't wait...

Just hope there is no Quality issue...

(also, seems Warner had some distribution problem when they released Kuburik set and Oeacan's 13 set in past two months. Hopefully no delay this time.)

For some reason, it reminds me last year, about same time as now, the mess with the Superman Tin box set (with wrong disc in the packagte.)

A thing I noticed about the review it said that the image galleries on disc 4 where removed for space reasons. I find that odd due to the fact that other discs with the same amount of video have had big image galleries. Like The Lord of The Ring extended editions, The Fly collectors edition, Alien Quad set. I was kinda disapointed that the image galleries where left off. They are one of my favorite extras. Anyone else find this odd.

^I dont really care about the galleries but Disk 4 looks freakin loaded with content so I am not surprised it was left off of disk 4. However I am sure the galleries would have fit on disk 5.

It's not as loaded as the 2nd disc of the Fly 2 hr 40 min doc, two screen plays, short story, 3 magazine articles, still galleries, trailers and tv spots, deleted scenes, and some effects test. And the Alien quad set 2hr+ docs and hundreds of stills on the 2nd disc of each movie. I'm not complaining just not buying the no room on the discs. Still looks like an amazing set.

Just read through the Bits' review of the SD version and ultimate edition packaging walk-through and have decided that I'll buy the BD Ultimate Edition after all. I'd been leaning towards just the 5-disc, but realized that I'd want the swag at some point, even if to just see how cool it is.

The review was amazingly detailed and there is obvious appreciation for the effort that went into bringing this to market. I'm looking forward to December 18th and decided that I'd go the Amazon route w/ hopefully little to no delay in receiving my briefcase release.

I've never bought a dvd box set online (I like to see such things with my own eyes before I buy them), but does anyone think if I won't pre-order this one there might not be enough left? I'm after the case obviously, and I will get to Best Buy first thing after work on the release day...

No one knows. It's always a roll-of-the-dice you take by not pre-ordering. Why take a chance if you really want it? Sure, you could hit BB right after work but if they only got in 10 and you're number 11....

As TomOpus wrote, nobody knows. One way to hedge your bets is to pre-order it and then try and get it at Best Buy as well. That way you're covered either way: If the pre-order comes damaged, you can return it and keep the BB copy. If BB is out, you'll have the pre-order to fall back on. And if both the BB and pre-order copy are fine, you can always just return the BB version.

Digital bits does mention a digipack-only 5-disc DVD version exclusive to Best Buy.
http://www.thedigitalbits.com/review...lallver04.html

This looks like it:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....oduct&id=20605

Of course, at $54.99, you'd might as well just get the briefcase set from Amazon for the same price.

I ordered my briefcase from WHV back in the summer when they were still reliable.

I think they might have fixed there troubles by now.

I really hope this comes before Christmas.

To me it's still amazing after all these years with a poor bare DVD we now have tons of choices. Finally!

That Best Buy exclusive is ridiculously priced -- the 4-disc set is currently $24.99, while the 5-disc non-briefcase set is more than twice the price at $54.99. That's an extra $30 for a single disc of bonus features. If they were pricing their exclusive at $34.99, they might have a sale. As it stands, I'll stick with the 4-disc.
