forbidden planet cut scenes
As a boy of seven I can reacll a visit to the local movie house to see the Fobidden Planet. To this day it's one of my top ten sci-fi movies as it was truly visionary in every respect.
However, I seem to recall a scene that was apparently cut from both TV screenings and vhs copies. That scene was the cook, played by Earl Holliman and Robby the robot getting drunk together while the "Id Monster" ravaged the space craft and a member of the crew. Does anyone else recall this scene, and if so is it included in later re-releases in DVD format?

On the vhs versions I've seen Robby deliver 480 pts. of "genuine Kansas city Rocket Bourbon" and cookie takes a pull from one of the bottles, but we don't see the actual binge drinking scene. Is that the scene you refer to?
