will more than likely rent this, though there was a particularily damning article from the Washington Post around the time of the film's release, stating the film did no justice to the family or real story of Danny Pearl.

I love pretentious Oscar movies as much as the next person but I think I’ll skip this one. I had a slight interest when it was released but if it isn’t even close to the true story of Danny Pearl then it’s a no watch for me. I mean no movie that’s ‘based on a true story’ is %100 accurate but it has to be at least a tiny bit.
Angelina Jolie as an actor is so-so in my opinion. I mean she’s far from horrible but there are some much more interesting & better dramatic actors currently. I’m not a huge Brad Pitt fan either but he definitely is a better actor than his ‘squeeze’. |
