DVDspot.com - Mass upload?
I'm using the free version of DVD Profiler and I can't upload the database, so I want to use dvdspot.com.
I should have searched their forums first. Woooozzlebees! You can import it via a .txt or .csv file. Go to http://www.dvdspot.com/import.php and use the import tool at the bottom. |
If I remember right, you can use XML export in Profiler (which includes UPCs) then edit that so it's just title and UPC, and import that into DVDSpot. I think that's more or less what I did (and I don't know XML at all, I think I just brought it into Excel, took out what I didn't need, and saved it as a CSV file).

Wow, that is a pain. Who knew there were 8 different versions of xXx and Hitch? You'd think this would be alot easier.

Yeah, you just have to bite the bullet... Ive only got 300+ and it still took a few hrs.

That sucked. Once you get into a groove it's pretty easy, it took about 80 minutes for ~250 titles (including setting up a few nifty filters).

I just came across DVDSpot and like many others here, I didn't use DVD Profiler for much besides saying "Here's My Collection" so I want something free.
I have almost 800 titles so I used the bulk upload thingy. Man, what a pain. Like Dignam stated, who knew there were so many different versions of titles. What I did was EXPORTED by collection DVDProfiler 2.4 to a CSV file and then IMPORTED from that into DVDSPOT. I think there are only titles in the file due to the huge maount of different version for each title. That is the major hold up. I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to export the UPC code from DVDProfiler. Otherwse I;m going to be converting for quite a while. :) |
