Misery Collectors Edition; "1408" ----> October 2nd?

http://horrormovies.ca/horror_8664.html

Misery has always been a very effective Stephen King adaptation. One of the best films based off of his work. According to Lijas Library the new Collector's Edition of Misery will be hitting DVD shelves on October 2nd. Oddly enough that is also the same day that is rumored to be when 1408 hits DVD. According to the site the DVD will be presented in widescreen and include the following special features:

    There is a thread on the "Misery" CE complete with art already... is the revelation here that "1408" coming out 10/2? I saw the movie in theaters and am torn as to whether or not I need to own it. It was entertaining enough at the time. I will probably need quite a few special features on it (maybe 2 discs?) in order to buy it. Cusack was great in it.

    EDIT -
    Here's the Misery thread:

    A two-disc collectors set of 1408? Excellent. Count me in for sure.

    That 1408 cover would be fantastic if Cusack and Jackson's faces weren't there. I'm still in, however.

    If 1408 is standard as 2-disc, I'll be blind-buying. I feel like I should support their kindness, if that's the case. (And I heard it was really good from all my friends)

    So after a rocky start, TWC and Genius products are fast becoming my favorite DVD releasing studio.

    Cool. I've been (unconsciously) putting off buying Misery. Now I really have a reason to buy it.

    I also liked 1408... pretty creppy.

    I'd really love to upgrade Misery, but I feel like the minute I do Fox/MGM will announce the Blu-Ray.

    What to do, what to do....

    I'm with darthmaher. Misery is the one Rob Reiner movie from his "prime" that I've been putting off buying. This gives me an added incentive to finally pick it up.

    And if the 2-disc 1408 is the standard release, I'll probably blind buy it as well.

    Enjoyed 1408 but didn't think I would buy it... however, since it's 2 discs I think special features should be enough to get me to bite.

    Yes, 2-discs. That's great news. I really enjoyed that film. Misery will be mine as well.
