What has happened with the releases of The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air Seasons on DVD?

Season One was released on 02-08-2005

Season Two was released on 10-11-2005

Season Three was released on 02-14-2006

Season Four was released on 08-08-2006

There is only two seasons left waiting to be released as the show only lasted six seasons. It's been over a year since the last season set was released, before that they were coming out fairly quick at two seasons a year...I hope they are'nt canceling them like they did Boy Meets World.

I heard that the sales for those season sets didn't meet expectations and that the last 2 seasons were put on hold because of that. Last December, Amazon.com had an overstock of the first 4 seasons and put the on sale at almost 75% off. Since the series has heavy rotation on syndication, it hasn't attracted many buyers to purchase the first 4 seasons.

I think the last two seasons are only available at the conventions.

What conventions?

Believe it or not, there is an annual Fresh Prince convention held. I couldn't tell you anymore then that.

With the heavy rotation on Nick at Night, I can see why these aren't selling, but that's not stopping Rosanne, right?

Supposedly the reason they shelved the fresh prince is because of high cost and low sales. The usual.

I really wish companies would stop doing shit like this. :(

According to the last HTF chat with WB, music rights are what is holding up the remainig seasons. They are working on getting them cleared up.

Well the Roseanne seasons don't sell horrible on DVD but they don't sell great either. Maybe like myself, people just like Roseanne [*cough*]Sarah Chalke[*cough*] better.

I can't believe their are Fresh Prince of Bel-Air conventions. It was an average sitcom at best. I hope for fans of the show however that the final 2 seasons get released on DVD because if the WB doesn't release the final 2 seasons after releasing the first four then they are just as bad as FOX.
