Miami Vice The Complete Series (Faux Alligator-Skin Box) 11/13/07

I'm glad The First 2 Seasons will be 12 single sided discs instead of 6 double sided discs. Universal

I'd hope that at least some effort is made to include a couple of bonus features on the last couple of seasons. It's criminal when one of the most well-known shows of the 80's is ported to DVD with little to no restoration or extra features. Come on, they couldn't even throw on that VH1 special?

I want it...I just don't know how much I want to pay for it.

Probably when it hits $100 somewhere will pull my trigger.

Gee, I'm so glad that as a devoted fan I bought all 5 seasons already. This shit is getting old. They need to offer an option for fans to trade in all 5 seasons if they'd like the big box. I'm not buying this, sweet as it looks.

I hear you about the box (I may give the CS line a call asking for a separate purchase). That and Uni fixing the DVD-18 problem by them re-issuing the first two seasons on DVD-9's despite that company pretty much denying there was ever any problem with those discs.

That's why, unless it is a TV show that I must have immediately, I just wait for the complete series sets.

You usually end up with better packaging, more extras, and possible improvements over previous defects and a better price than buying them individually.

... or at least pull a similar move Newline did with the LOTR Extended cut series by offering a free box (+ shipping) for the originals.

Though yes it wouldn't be completely similar, but hey .. why not make a custom box just for the original releases that appears similar to the new release set?

Then again who really thinks that studios really care about the concerns of their fan base anyway? duhh!!

They are re-releasing each season but this time in a keepcase and 6 discs for season 1 which was the same number for the original release but according to this link they will be single sided discs
