Any updates on these anticipated 2-disc special edition DVDs?
 

Hey, has anyone heard any further news on these upcoming 2-disc special editions from the following studios? There are some rumors and rumblings out there, but nothing official yet as far as street dates, features, etc. that I've heard. I appreciate everyone's feedback.

WARNER BROS:
- Bonnie and Clyde
- An American in Paris
- Poltergeist
- Cool Hand Luke
- L.A. Confidential
- The Road Warrior

UNIVERSAL:
- Psycho Legacy edition
- The Birds Legacy edition

PARAMOUNT:
Braveheart

I believe the topic about Psycho/Birds said they're due early 2008.

I've been wondering about L.A. Confidential myself, though.

I have been waiting on Braveheart for AGES!

Me too, I've been holding off buying the single disc for years.

Yes! Braveheart, LA and Poltergeist would be great.

So when did Psycho and The Birds get pushed back? The last I had read, they were due Aug. 7th, and I had sort of forgotten about them. Then, the other day I realized they're not up for pre-order anywhere. Are they delayed until '08 for sure?

Back in March, their rumored release date was posted as September 30th or something like that, sometime in September. But obviously no news is bad news in this case, and then this was posted last week:

Last I heard this was supposed to be coming this year, around fall, for the 10th anniversary. I'm hoping for an official announcement sometime in the next month or two.

I would love a Mad Max 2 SE but I would much rather see Warner Bros. take their time with it rather than rush it out.

I've been holding out for Bonnie & Clyde, this is the first time i've heard anything about a 2-disc release. I guess i'll hold out a bit longer to see what happens here.

^ WB has mentioned this several times in the HTF chats that a two-discer of B&C is on the horizon.

Awaiting the SE of L.A. Confidential with great impatience......

Wasn't there a Serenity SE due out at the end of July?

It just seem to me that there was more Gore in the field-battles scenes.
That just one of the Thing I Remembered in the theather I thought it was much longer to.

According to the HTF chats with Warner, the SE's for Poltergeist, Cool Hand Luke, and L.A. Confidential are supposed to be released this year, and the Bonnie and Clyde SE is supposed to be out next year.

Bonnie and Clyde SE is supposed to be out this year for its 40th anniversary, same with Cool Hand Luke SE and The Candidate (with a Redford Commentary).

Warners announce their releases 3 months before the date, so you would have to expect an announcement either this month or next. Just clever marketing right before Christmas I guess.

Don't mean to be a dick but I think searching the forum could help with these questions. This is like the fifth thread I've seen asking about L.A. Confidential and/or Psycho and The Birds.

Poltergeist 25th anniversary edition is already available for pre-order at Amazon. I would love to see a remastered version of the Road Warrior or why not a Mad Max Boxed Set.

I am hoping Warner holds up to their half mention of a Risky Business 25th Anniversary SE DVD.

So do you have any useful information?

There is no official, solid information on any of them except Poltergeist, which was announced by the studio a few weeks ago. If the titles are announced or some legit info leaks out, expect to see the discs either get individual threads or have individual threads resurrected in this forum.
