Official List of "Grindhouse" moniker Films on DVD

OK, I am trying to compile a list of all the films released by all these low budget indy companies under the Grindhouse banner. I know BCI has the Welcome to the Grindhouse series but I have noticed alpha video has a Grindhouse Double Shock series and another company has a Grindhouse label as well as Shriek Show and Razor Digital entering in also. Any specs and art for these releases would be cool. I am not looking for a list of Grindhouse films just films under the Grindhouse Moniker

There's a 20 film collection being released under the title "The Grindhouse Experience" with some interesting titles. From what I've read about some of this company's previous releases though, could be a risky purchase. Links to reviews in your list might be handy. The DVDTalk reviews for the first two "Welcome to the Grindhouse" releases suggests pretty decent value contrary to what you would normally expect from Brentwood.

I saw something at BB today, a double feature, two snapcases packaged together, with a outer sleeve calling it a grindhouse something or other. I don't remember any other details, but I'm sure a BB site search would find it, i think it was a new release this week.

It was two Subversive releases, one of them Blood Bath, and the other I can't remember.

Or maybe this:

"Bone" and "Fight for Your Life"

That pairing has been around for awhile. I tried ordering it during the last 20% off sales, but it's been out of stock.

There's those skin flick collections released by After Hours:

On a side note, I was disappointed with BCI's "Intermission Extras" on their "Welcome/Grindhouse" line. It doesn't compare to their "Starlite Drive-In Theater" line which included cartoons, concession stand ads, and of course, more trailers.

Trevor 07-21-07 01:26 PM

The one I saw was neither of the ones pictured or linked so far. I'll try to remember to look for it next time I'm at BB.

I've gotten the Black Candles / Evil Eye double feature from the BCI Welcome to the Grindhouse series. Seems like there was an anamorphic trailer before the feature for Pick-Up but the features themselves are non-anamorphic even though the description on Amazon states anamorphic as does the promo ad. I think I saw a SWV watermark on one of the bumpers. Black Candles is more of a softcore porn flick than it is a horror film. There's a particularly repugnant scene with a goat. Still waiting for the other volume to arrive. Must be selling particularly well.

Yeah, the Black Candles/Evil Eye set is all non-anamorphic save for the Pick-Up trailer and the "Our Feature Presentation" bumpers. Cliff Mac from BCI said this on the DVDManiacs forums:

They were originally suppose to be anamorphic, but unfortunately there were some issues with the transfer, so we had to use a 4x3 master.

The "Intermission" bumper is the only thing I saw with a SWV watermark on it.
