Sorting Question?
Ok here goes as it is now Ive got some of my movies sorted in a way, for instance Fearless is sorted Jet Li's Fearless, Jet Li's Hero, and all of my George A Romeros are grouped together. when you link to say IMDB its listed as Fearless but below is Jet Li's Fearless (USA complete title).
So in this respect how do you sort and store your collection? |
I never put an actor or director over the movie's title when I sort mine. Same goes for authors as well. So for me it would simply be "Fearless"

I sort and store mine as follows:
Movies alphabetically, with numerical titles (9 to 5, etc.) spelled out TV shows by genre, then alphabetically Music DVDs by artist |

I never sort my movies that way. Most of Stephen King's movies are listed that way (but not all, it would leave out Green Mile, Shawshank, or Stand By Me) and I only list it by the actual title.
I take that back... Monty Python is the exception. |

Nineteen eighty-four (would file it under N) 90210, I would file under B, for Beverly Hills 90210. ;) I don't own any of those, BTW. I do own 12:01, which I have filed under T. Rob |

I sort mine like Val Kilmer does in Top Secret! with the librarian guy....I just throw them up there. Unfortunately, movies become difficult to find as they're not alphabetical, and even often they don't even land spine out.
I'm kidding, of course. I actually sort them out by scent. It's awkward, but it works. |
