I wonder where the other disc will go. I have to say I am a bit disappointed in the DVD binder storage if you can call it that. Overall I am happy with the set but my main gripes are with the lack of the new spiffy cover art many of the titles individually got and with the wierd cardboard rubber dot disc storage. And why did Becoming John Ford get its own slim case? The book is really cool. For $110, I can't complain too much. I was curious if anyone had decided to take the discs out and do something different with them.

I decided to buy the small sets since I wanted the discs in cases with inserts anyway...they come in slim cases which is fine by me, and I already have the 2 disc Criterion YOUNG MR LINCOLN. Only a few films are not available outside the set and I can get them thru Netflix so...

I don't know if this is new or not, but I think it is. About the special redemption offer - this link is now working, and has the following picture:

Does anyone know how long this special redemption off lasts? I don't know when I'll be picking up the set (depends on sales, etc.), but I don't want to lose out on the extra film.

So, what's missing by just getting the small sets?

Young Mr. Lincoln and Frontier Marshall (offer only for big box), and Becoming JF you bought on it's own?

I keep trying the right answer for the question, but it keeps giving me this error message:

Incorrect Answer to Validation Question. Please try again.
This is really starting to irritate me.

Becoming John Ford and Prisoner of Shark Island are available separately and Young Mr Lincoln is just the first disc of the Criteriion.

'The Battle of Midway', the short version of 'December 7th', and 'Torpedo Squadron' are extras on the 'Becoming John Ford' disc, and thus are also available from Fox outside any of the sets.

I had the same problem, Brent. When I retyped the first and last name using all lower case letters, my application went through.

How Green Was My Valley Disc Mix-Up

I bought "The Ford at Fox Collection: The Essential John Ford".

Problem: The "How Green Was My Valley" DVD included in the set is actually the 2000 release without the Audio Commentary and AMC Backstory Special Features promised on the DVD case (these features were included in the 2002 Studio Classics edition).

Anybody else have the same problem?

Does anybody have an email address for Fox Home Entertainment so I can complain to them or does anybody know about a replacement program for buyers to get the correct DVD?

Fox did exactly the same thing with copies of their first box set of 'Studio Classics' releases in Canada a few years back (presumably dumping old copies).

I was wondering about this the other day...

Got an e-mail tonight from Fox saying Frontier Marshall would be shipping soon.

Also received an email last night regarding Frontier Marshall. I was starting to wonder if Fox had forgotten about the promotion.

Received my copy of Frontier Marshall today. Found it stuck to my gate in an envelope from DHL. The disc was in a paper CD sleeve and there was no case for it. So anyone who is expecting it they are finally being delivered.
