And, yes, prior to getting that notice it was listed as "very long wait".

Just watched this. The extended cut is very talky, but excellent. The movie is just do damn cool. And the extras are great. They may not be the most padded, which is good, but they are very informative and not totally full of film clips. And Zoe Bell is the coolest.
I'll bet USA Best Buy will have a case for the two when Planet Terror comes out, that is how it was done with Kill Bill, I believe.

I just picked up the futureshop steelbook exclusive version. The packaging looks as though their are postcards inside but, when I opened it up I found nothing but, the steelbook and the two dvd's. Just curious if any other canucks can confirm there is nothing but, the dvd's in the "exclusive set".

Need FYE or BB Slipcase in Australia!!
Hey guys,
Grindhouse (which is being split inhalf to be shown in theatres here!!) hasn't even started at the movies yet! But - I NEED one of either of those slipcases..... Is there some kind soul who might be able to get one for a down-under resident. I can pay for any shipping costs - I have a PayPal account or who knows, maybe there's an Australian exclusive DVD that someone's looking for that would be really easy for me to pick up?? Please, if anyone can help with either of the thicker width slipcases..... mail me!!!

I loved the extended cut... it was even better than the theatrical IMO. Really fleshed out a few situations and while it does make the action scenes farther between, I thought the pacing was great and worked just fine with the additions. I've watched it twice already and probably will spin it a third time this week.

Well I got my refund from Bestbuy.com, I will never buy a dvd from them again after the shit I had to go through. But I am perfectly happy with the regular 2-disc.

I finally picked up the DVD today after being on the fence for about a week. Mostly because I really enjoyed the theatrical cut and I wasn't sure how the changes would affect the movie.

Just getting to some of the extras. Anyone notice that Tarantino has really cut back with all the "alright, okay, alright" interjections when he talks? Maybe someone told him it was a bit much. He seems a might less caffeined-up now.

Best Buy's put both versions of Planet Terror up for pre-order:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....p=1&id=1761381 - Regular
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....p=1&id=1762770 - Steelbook
I must admit, I do find it curious that the PT steelbook pre-order price is cheaper than the DP steelbook pre-order price.

^I dont know but most Weinstien Releases sont get more than a 25% off discount. Espesciallt their Dragon Dynasty titles. I think Hard Boiled got a bigger discount but most others its only like 25% off which is weird I guess buy they will eventaully lower their prices.
