Sharky's Machine (Burt Reynolds)--FS only?
I've tried searching for this, and only found mention in an old thread about Burt's "Stick".
The only DVD of Sharky's Machine is full-screen, right? Is it pan-and-scan?
I have dim memories of this from when I was little and am tempted to rent the current DVD. How crappy is it (the a/v, I mean)? Any word of a proper DVD release?

DVD Talk Special Edition
It's okay. I've seen far worse FS transfers, but it's still pretty old. I got the version in a 3-pack with "Hooper" and "Stroker Ace" on the same disc for around $10. It's worth picking up because I really doubt there will ever be an SE.

In any case, I'm in the mood for something like this, so I'll rent it.

Great anamorphic widescreen transfer in this one. I own it.

Edit: nevermind--total of $17.50 AU, not too bad.

Bump. I'm watching this crap full screen transfer now. The thing that really bothers me, though, is the audio mix! I watch DVDs on my PC, as I have a Dell WFP 2007 wide screen. My audio level is maxed out, and the dialog is still quiet! What the hell?! Worst I've come across yet.
How's the audio on the Australia anamorphic?

If you include [sarcasm] [/sarcasm] tags, it makes the statement perfect.

Damn, it looks like it's out of stock! Is there another site that carries this DVD? I've been looking for the WS version for a long time. Thanks.
This has got to be the only good movie Dan Inosanto was in.
