I really hope the R2 version of SAW VI doesn't come with the first one. That's pretty stupid, imo.

Thanks! I'll have to check the few that are by me but I'm sure I'll strikeout.

Just finished watching SAW VI... man, did it make up for the dismal fifth film!

Where are Xage's pics?

aprox: 2-3weeks (collecting 6 is harder than the rest since majority of its variants were from the great white North - Canada)

I actually quite enjoyed SAW VI so much, I might buy it. But, I'd probably just get the regular DVD, since the PQ on it was really good.

My annual tradition of Saw films is to rent the latest release, watch the movie, then the movie with commentary, and then the extras. The commentaries give some pretty good insight into the films/Saw lore

Was at wal-mart today and saw a package in a clear standard-size DVD case of I-V on 5 discs all of them the first disc of the unrated releases.

Yeah, it was discussed earlier in the thread, and there are some pictures. Only minor complaint people had is that Saw III is the DC rather than the Unrated version, which does not mesh with the events of Saw IV.

Same here. Looked like a decent set.

Wait, isn't it the other way around?

I bought this set and have no regrets about doing so, but as dead_rsng53 pointed out Saw 3 is the uncut version and not the director's cut. Months ago I asked which was the best version of Saw 3 and I was told the uncut version because the director's cut version creates continuity problems with Saw 4. Should I still care about the director's cut version or be content with the Wal Mart set?

Spoiler:
Saw IV and Saw III take place concurrently. At the end of Saw IV, Agent Strahm (Scott Patterson) discovers Jeff (Angus MacFayden) in the refitted freezer, and shoots him. As Strahm approaches the freezer, you see and hear several things happening, including the shotgun collar going of and killing Lynn (Bahar Soomekh).

In the DC of III, though, the ending actually continues, with Jeff sitting down next to Lynn's body and trying, clearly mad, to comfort her headless corpse.

Hmm, that quote is kind of confusing. Maybe I read it wrong when it was originally posted, and it says "Director's Cut" on the packaging.

xage has got to know!

What's different about the rental version of Saw VI, just the artwork?

The rental version has the theatrical cut in widescreen, whereas the standard public DVD has the theatrical in Fullscreen. That's the only real difference.
