I don't remember The Daffy Doc. It appears to be one of the earliest Daffy Duck shorts.

1938 to be precise... Im hoping for a Daffy disc, it doesnt bother me to be honest we can have 30 shorts from the early 30s and 30 shorts from the late 60s and i'd still buy the set...

Is "the wild hare" (the one where bugs says "whats up doc" for the first time) on any of the volumes?

Yes and no. It's shown during one of the Bugs Bunny documentaries on (I think) the Golden Collection Volume 3, but it hasn't been fully restored and released independently yet.

Yes A Wild Hare is the short that Bugs says Whats Up, Doc for the very first time and the short is available unfortunetely unrestored...

"The short occurs (unrestored) in its entirety in two documentaries available as bonus material in the Looney Tunes Golden Collection series. One documentary is What's Up, Doc? A Salute to Bugs Bunny Part 1, which is available as a special feature on Discs 3 and 4 of the Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Volume 3, with the original title cards. The other documentary is Bugs Bunny: Superstar Part 1, which is available as a special feature on Discs 1 and 2 of the Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Volume 4 with the Blue Ribbon reissue titles and 'dubbed version' end title, although it has not been refurbished or released independently in that series yet"

Will this set finally have Coal Black And De Sebben Dwarfs?!?!?!?

JHBulls 05-05-07 09:13 AM

These two shorts are the only ones named that will be on volume 5 for a list of the 60 shorts to be on the set you'd have to wait 3-4 months to find out

The No Man 05-05-07 12:05 PM

damn. it's gonna feel like an eternity for this set to come out. luckily we'll have Droopy, Popeye, and Woody to hold us over 'til then.

I'm still waiting for a deal on 3 & 4. $40+ per set is still too rich for me.

Are any of the controversial uncut toons from the first laser disc boxset on any of the existing dvd sets?

I have never seen the laser disc sets so i dont know which toons you're talking about but if its the censored 11 then no...

http://looney.goldenagecartoons.com/.../ltcuts11.html

On the first two or three volumes there are bonus material showing Private Snafu shorts which are world war 2 themed, they have nothing to do with Looney Tunes but i think they're their to ease in the censored 11 shorts in later volumes...
