Did you get your tv stand online somewhere? I like it.

Excessive overkill. IMHO.
Most of the pictures look computer enhanced.

The may have taken out all the wires for the pics so it will look better; like they do in most home theater ads.

In the article the owner describes how it's almost a test or study area for audio development. Think of it as a lb more than a HT.

Are they testing the effects of subwoofers on tube-amps? Because I can pretty much imagine the effects without $6M.

I think if it was wired and something happened, they would blame you.

Hey guys, I updated a few things in my HT.

Red rug that is nice and fuzzy on my feet:

New DVD rack form IKEA. I was going to get the Billy bookcases as some members got on here but I found this Expedit case and had to have it. I have half of the collection on one side and half on the other. I used casters so I can just swing the case out to get to the other side.

Things I still have to do:
  • Ceiling mount screen (doing it this weekend)
  • The remainder of my posters framed and mounted (about 12 of them)
  • New Berkline black leather HT love seat (coming this Fall)
  • New 1080p projector (coming this Fall)
  • More stuff I can't remember

What kind of popcorn maker do you have on the table in the backround?

It's a free standing one. I got it through the Detroit Popcorn Company.

Gotta paint those walls! Other than that, it looks great.

Agreed. Nothing makes me weep more than imagining a fellow home theater lover watching movies in a room with white walls.

He DID paint those walls - that used to be brown wood paneling behind there.

I like what Steebo's done with his set-up. There's a lot to proud of there.

I like it a lot too. That Superman clock is especially cool.

I'm not knocking his set-up at all, it looks great for the space he has to work with. But white walls are the enemy of home theater.

Hey, Steebo, I recognize your rug from Ikea, as well. I contemplated getting that one myself, but opted for the much cheaper red rectangle shag. Nice and soft, but I'm sure yours is softer!

Ok - I'll play along. My place is messy, my wires are all exposed, I have a popcorn ceiling and ugly can lights, I need to dust. Also - even though my tv looks old and huge and outdated, it IS 1080p and I like it. Also - I didn't photograph my couch, but it's huge and 70s and comfy. I'm re-covering it soon.

Nice setup/collection Trigger!

Every time I see someone in this thread with the "Infernal Affairs" box set, I cry a little bit inside. I had a chance to get it for $60-70 new in Chinatown SF, but passed thinking I could get it later.

Yep - the idea is to have the walls and ceiling vanish during a movie so you only see the screen. White walls reflect lights so they will always be noticeable during a movie.

Thanks - yeah, I had that IA set pre-ordered. I still have the original individual SE releases.

He's has quite a few out of print imports that make me feel the same way.

Hey Trig, what's your import/domestic break down?

I didn't know that about the light reflection. Something to remember. Looks like I learned something today.

Yeah - I have a shit ton of OOP stuff... I have an extra Japanese Alien head set still NIB that I'd like to part with. I'm also hanging on to a Cowboy Bebop numbered set that's still factory sealed. Tough finding buyers.

Anyway - I'd say I'm about 65/35 foreign/domestic. Nearly all of my US DVDs can fit inside one of those dresser cabinets... probably about a drawer and a half more plus 2 drawers of US anime releases and that cabinet full of box sets. Then I've got that rack and two dresser cabinets worth of foreign discs...
