You can only keep one
Maybe a comet is heading toward your house or maybe a new rule about intellectual property has been passed, whatever it may be, you can only save/pick one DVD currently in your collection.
What would it be? I've agonized over this one, but I think I'd save my copy of "The 7th Voyage of Sinbad." I've loved that flick since I was a little kid. It's not my all time favorite film, but it does mean a lot to me and I never grow tired of it. So, fellow dvdtalk members, what would be that one title for you? (Try to resist picking mega-sets because that would make the choice an easier one.) |
This is easy for me: Leon: The Professional. :)

Not to nitpick, but it would depend on the circumstances.
If Hale-Bopp really is hitting my house, and I can later re-buy whatever I want, I'd take my rarest or hardest to replace title. Not counting my personal photos/backup DVD, I guess that would be MST3K: The Movie. If it was the intellectual property law finally being passed, I'd take the title I'd re-watch the most, not necessarily my favorite movie. That might be Monty Python and the Holy Grail. |
Leon would probably be my choice for all time fave movie, but if I could only have one move forever it would probably be something like The Cutting Edge or There's Something About Mary, cuz Leon would be too depressing.

Probably Raiders of the Lost Ark. What more does anyone need? :)
Se7en
or maybe Fight Club: Deluxe EDition |
The Best of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog
That DVD would make me laugh through the most tragic of events. Of course, I'd have to find somewhere to watch it now. |
Jaws.
Resevoir Dogs
Blue Velvet.
Dr. Strangelove
Isn't the only correct answer Highlander ;)
The Rock: Criterion without a doubt the most watched DVD I own. I pop this sucker in every few months.
True Romance SE
Band of Brothers
Tombstone
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
I have to second Band of Brothers
Deep Impact or Armageddon ;)
But seriously, probably The Depared. Don't ask me why, love the movie so much. |

I was gonna say the same thing. The US version of the The Office Second season. I have watched every episode at least 4 times and still laugh every time. |
If The Complete Twilight Zone Collection counted as one then that'd be my choice otherwise I'd have to go with Dances With Wolves.

Of the DVDs I have the only ones I would consider really kind of irreplaceable are the autographed ones. So I would take the better autograph of the person I am least likely to meet again, i.e. my David Lynch autographed Lost Highway.
