At one time Anchor Bay was supposed to release this as part of their licencing agreement with Fox. Don't know what ever happened to it.

dallen316 Welcome to DVDtalk

Unfortunately I don't know about thing about the DVD/movie you are asking about, but I just wanted to point out one thing... when writing a thread that is a question about a DVD please include question marks in the thread title. W/O them people may assume you are announcing info that you found about the release of a particular DVD instead of asking a question about it.

thx

I've been awaiting this title on DVD as well - if you check out the imdb forum posts on this title - you will see that Anchor Bay DID have it as a 'coming soon' release - however as the previous poster stated - FOX are 'supposedly' now releasing it... when ???..... who knows !!! They may sneak it out - but don't hold your breathe.

Its been added the the long list of titles requested to be released.

EDIT : MAYBE if we keep asking questions like this - some small person at the FOX DVD offices might get the hint !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damnation Alley - a smallish Sci Fi film that FOX had hopes of releasing as their summer hit for 1977. Sadly, it got trumped on by another small film... called STAR WARS.

Hey, I'm not alone in wanting this one!

If it's released, I'll buy a copy.

Once again another movie I saw in the theater that summer. I remember it was pretty hokie but cool at the same time. Smokey and the Bandit was my favorite. Star Wars was popular but didn't reach mythical status right away.

I saw it in theaters as well. The cockroaches freaked me out.

Yeah, but the moment is spoilt by George Peppard's character intoning

"The town is infested with killah cockroaches!"

Also, the LandMaster vehicles look great, that is until the canvas join between the two halves becomes very obvious which also kinda spoils the effect.

I always got the impression that they ran out of money about halfway through production.

I bought a disc of the film at a SciFi/Horror Expo. It is as cheezy and fun as I remember. The quality is acceptable to me and will hold me over until an official disc is produced.

Saw this in the theater back then, as well!

A major selling point was that sound gimmick which we now know as surround sound!

Another great drive-in memory from my youth. Can't wait to retire my VHS dub.
