I just watched both for the first time last night, and I enjoyed them. I have never read the comic, but I think they are based more on the comic storyline than the movie storyline. The look is a little different for the characters than from the movie. It is really nice to have the main actors voice their own characters, that really makes a difference.

The stories were solid, and the animation was top-notch. Can't wait to listen to the commentaries.
