HK FLix (a dvd talk sponser) has many of these titles, and I came across quite a few of them recently. So far I have watched coonsking and the legend of ****** charlie. The quality is on par with some of the public domain outfits that run 70's films. Charlie oddly enough had all the curse words bleeped out..."shits and damns, etc. and had a few video defects that looked like it had been sourced from a tape.

I assume these films won't get a proper treatment (other than Sparkle) which warner already cleaned up. But where do they even get the prints for these films.

David Walker (Reviewer here) said that the only bootleg that currently exists is from a TV-print. Sounds like the one you got.

I'm still waiting the day when/if Cool Breeze ever gets a proper release.

No, I haven't found any reviews from the "Blax label". I'm just going by what he wrote (In his magazine, Badazzmofo) when he reviewed plenty of these movies several years ago.
