wow!!! What a shitty name and cover!!! I wish the studios would stop with those silly ass names. Damn!

TheMovieman 03-05-07 12:25 PM

Yeah, this "edition" title takes the cake. Already got the barebones one (with DTS) so unless I see this one for under $10, I'm skipping it. Even then, I'll keep the other and make it a 2-disc set since this one only has DD.

digitalfreaknyc 03-05-07 12:26 PM

Jeez...this seems to be "double-dip" year for Fox.

crs 03-05-07 12:32 PM

The previous release had DTS, pretty good one too...

Edit: Sorry already mentioned.. what's up with all the lag on dvdtalk

Artman 03-05-07 01:14 PM

Can't blame Fox for trying to cash in on this one. I traded my old one in awhile ago...

Anyone else remember getting flyers before entering the theater?

Giles 03-05-07 01:22 PM

the cover art is hideous IMO.

Please make the idiotic edition names stop!!! arghhhhh!!!!

No DTS on this one. Those cheesey little extras ain't worth a double dip if you downgrade the sound!

tonymontana313 03-05-07 09:52 PM

I 100% agree with the above poster.

I bought this in the $5.50 bin around Christmas, and still never watched it. It's still in the shrinkwrap. Don't think I'll upgrade. LOL

Fincher Fan 03-05-07 10:56 PM

Anybody else have an HD-DVD ad sitting right in the middle of the coverart? :hscratch:

I have no desire to ever see this movie, but when I saw the title I had to click the thread to make sure it was legitimate. Of all the over the top special edition titles, I think this one is the winner ;)

CinemaNut 03-06-07 08:47 AM

What - a title with the words "Martial Law Edition" and no extras from Alex Jones & Info Wars? THAT would have been cool

Seantn 03-06-07 12:15 PM

I worked at a theater when this was playing initially, and the best thing to do would be to walk in and watch the audience's reaction when the bus exploded.

Got 'em everytime!

bgmat58 03-06-07 01:00 PM

i dont have this movie but i think ill wait until it is under $10

I actually don't know what is worst: The Martial Law Edition title or that the title of the movie in this cover looks like "The Siege and Bruce Willis".

This may very well be the worst cover art I've ever seen...and I remember Real Genius and Short Circuit!

reubs82 03-07-07 01:14 AM

I remember right after 9/11 the Hollywood Video in my hometown couldn't keep this disc on the shelves.

rexinnih 03-07-07 08:47 AM

This one actually made me laugh.

They were right!

They didn't stop with piddly ass blowing up busses and theaters, they went for driving jet aircraft into buildings.....

UAIOE 03-07-07 01:47 PM

And here I was hoping this had something to do with that Sammo Hung show "Martial Law".
