Anybody else want a Special Edition of "The Ghost and the Darkness"?

I know I do! Has there been any word on a potential rerelease at all over the years?

I'd take a nice Special Collector's Edition from Paramount.

G&TD needs a new release. Even if its just 16x9. I love this movie and still waiting for a new version.

It absolutely needs a new DVD. An anamorphic transfer is a must. I'd love to see a documentary on the real events included too.

Paramount seems to only want to re-release titles instead of giving us anything new to dvd....If Summer School gets a SE no doubt this will too.

I'd settle for an anamorphic transfer and DTS track. This was a beautifully shot movie and it won the Oscar for Sound Effects Editing. I'd love to have the teaser and official trailers as well. The teaser in particular was very evocative.

Yeah, I want at least an anamorphic transfer. I bought this a few months ago and then promptly sold it when I realized it was poop.

Would like to see a rerelease on this too, i've always liked this one. Probably best bet is a release on HD/BD a few yrs down the road...

This would be a release date purchase for me.

I believe there's a documentary out there called "Maneaters of Tsavo" that features historical accounts of the events, plus interviews with Val Kilmer and Michael Douglas thats currently unavailable on DVD... that would make a great extra.

I shot an e-mail off to someone at Paramount Home Entertainment asking if there are any plans for a HD or SD rerelease. If I get a reply back, I'll post it.

This is a very underrated and, I think, underseen movie. I'd be in for a Special Edition.
