No SE of "The Hitcher"?
It's a bit surprising that with the remake of "The Hitcher" hitting theaters, nobody will capitalize by re-releasing the original starring Rutger Hauer as a special edition DVD.
I watched the old DVD from HBO Video the other day and man could it use a new transer plus I'd love to hear a Rutger commentary "It was my idea to put the switchblade to his crotch. Kinda came up with it on the spot. C. Thomas took it in stride." |

Who has the video rights to the original? We could still possibly see one released to tie-in with the remake's dvd debut.

I have the R2 and it is a fantastic set! One of my favorite DVDs. I'd been wanting to see the "China Lake" short (which Harmon directed prior to THE HITCHER) for close to 20 years. What a pleasure to finally have that WITH commentary by Harmon!
