As a very active bigfoot researcher (no I'm not crazy they do exist), I've had an obsession about this subject since I was a baby. As you can imagine this is one of my favorite movies (the only one I ever cried, Lol) and have waited for this to come out since I started my dvd collection 7 years ago. Thanks a million for the good news.

Just logged onto DVDtalk and saw this there and thought this was going to be another "why isn't there a SE or DVD of H&THs thread"........ To my amazement Universal actually is going to release this finally on DVD! Glad I held off on the Region 2 DVD and the bootleg/import copies off of eBay. This is great DVD news and a very welcome release! Bout' damn time Universal! Will pick this up for sure!

Oh, didn't see that news bit about Parenthood, cool, now if we could just get Lost Highway and Howard The Duck from them than that would be sweet.

And maybe a widescreen The Paper and Death Becomes Her while they're at it?

Can't wait to pick this one up. It's looooong overdue.

Hopefully Universal will release an HD DVD version at the same time.

I was just thinking the same thing (re: HD DVD) I would pick this and Parenthood up for sure.

Thank God! Ive been waiting for this for years! Im tired of watching the replays on HBO and my worn out VHS. I grew up on this movie and with this release there will be NOTHING else I can think of that I need released on DVD... maybe Howard the Duck but Id mainly own that as a joke. :D
