anime- Area 88 ????
 

ok all this 88 listing has confused the hell out of me..
is this right....
they did a release on vhs over 5 years ago but never finished it.. that version is "Area 88 - Blue Skies of Betrayal (Vol. 1) (1985)" now on dvd as "Area 88 - Original OVA Series"

over the last year they re-did the series as "Area 88 - Target 01 - Treacherous Skies" with 4 more dvd to finish the series..

question #1 whats wrong or right with the above....

question #2 due out 1/16/07 "Area 88 TV: Complete Collection" -- is this the new series?? amazon list it as 1 disc, is that right & what eps. are in this set..

question #3 "Area 88 - Original OVA Series" - amazon also lists this as 1 disc-- is this the old '85 series & what eps are on it..

I've rented the latest 4 disc series thru netflix & have been waiting for a box set to buy... with my military jet fetish this was a killer series for me...
and now I'm confused as hell....thankz for any help...

"Area 88 TV: Complete Collection" - is the new 13 episode tv series (Treacherous Skies,etc.) and should be 4 discs, not 1.


"Area 88 - Original OVA Series" - is the 2 older OAV's. I don't know if it is 1 disc or 2.

It should be a 2-disc release unless they changed it (not sure as I didn't buy it). Either way, it's the entire OVA series. So ds6161, if you purchase the Complete Collection and the OVA release, you've got everything :)
