This is great news!!

I have been waiting forever for this to be released on DVD. Thanks for posting this. :)

Hey, Looking for Richard hasn't been released before in Region 1, has it?

netphemera 01-15-07 11:16 PM

Commentary on All that Jazz! Awesome! I wonder who's the mystery guest. I love that film and that's a definite double-dip for me.

Nice! Between this and Harry & the Hendersons, I am a happy DVDtalker!

While Bedazzled is near the top of my DVD want list, I'm going to hold back on the euphoria for this announcement.

Fox has a nasty history of delaying/canceling titles like this (such as the aforementioned Pacino box set, which was originally announced last year.)

Once I see this title's cover artwork and listings at DDD, DVD Planet, DVD Empire, etc..., then I'll consider shouting, "Julie Andrews!"

AHH! You guys have me to thank for this! I just bought Region 2 versions of Bedazzled (actually region 0) and Harry and the Hendersons just two weeks ago and now they've both been announced in Region 1. The same thing happened with Robin Hood: Men in Tights last year. I bought it around Christmas time and then a few weeks later it was finally announced!

Finally! I've been waiting for years and finally got the VHS 2-3 years back. Too bad it wasn't from Criterion (I could at least hope, especially seeing that Donen's Charade was released there). Anybody know what the hold-up was? Just not enough interest?

what !!!!!!!!!!!

...... FOX has released it as 1.85:1 - when the R2+4 versions have the original widescreen aspect of 2.35:1

Ralph Jenkins 04-09-07 06:08 AM

The case says 2.35:1. Is that a misprint?

Yup, the packaging stating that is 2:35:1 is incorrect. DVD Journal has a review of the disc and it states that Fox has released as 1:85:1 instead of its OAR.

The copy I bought (of the new R1 release) was 2.35:1. Only the trailer was 1.85:1.

Is Bedazzled the movie where Raquel Welch has a sex scene with Farrah Fawcett if not does anyone know the name of that movie?

Yes, they screwed up. :(

I watched it last night, it's 2.35:1

What is Myra Breckenridge about?
I thought that was a selling your soul to the devil comedy.

No, that's Bedazzled. Myra Breckenridge is about is about some filmmakers who decided to test the limits of the then-new MPAA ratings system.
