Laserdisc titles still not available on DVD?

I thought I'd start this thread as a spin-off from our discussion about transferring laserdiscs from this thread:
http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?t=488559&page=1

Anway, I'm interested to know what titles are available on Laserdisc that still have not found their way onto DVD (or Region 1 DVD, in any case). I don't want to start a long list of various commentaries and bonus features exclusive to laserdisc - just films, TV shows and Musical Performances specifically, or significant alternate cuts/versions thereof. OAR versions of films only available on DVD in an altered aspect ratio are fine too.

Per Mike's suggestion, to keep things organized let's avoid posting things that have been released on DVD under a different title and/or with different coverart, but have the same content. Remember this is for LASERDISC ONLY - we're not interested in things that were on VHS, VCD, etc. In order to keep things as accurate as possible, please do not suggest any titles unless you are certain that they have actually appeared on laserdisc.

Before we get this started, I think it'd be a good idea to keep editing the first post as the list keeps getting updated, as opposed to having pages and pages of posts, where it gets to the point of people posting things again because they don't want to go through 18 pages of posts to see if it's already been posted. Even more difficult will be convincing people to delete their posts after their suggestions are added to the master list, but as long as we keep the master list current in the first post, deleting the other posts won't be quite as important, and it will keep a place for discussion about the list.

If we can keep this from getting out of hand, perhaps the mods will eventually make it a sticky topic.

I think this is available on this DVD set, look at the list of movies on the set.

http://www.dvdempire.com/Exec/v4_ite...item_id=745673

But I read that the picture quality on this set is very bad.

One movie that's on laserdisc, that's not on DVD.........The Monster Squad!

I heard the Basic Instinct unrated laserdisc had a wild commentary track from the director and different making of, both of which have been left off of all the DVD releases including the so-called "ultimate edition."

Off the top of my head, I have the "Young Indiana Jones Chronicles" in a fancy box set from Japan. That's supposedly in the works for DVD, but not until George Lucas finishes compositing Jar Jar Binks into every episode.

I found one old one from 2004, but it wasn't organized into any kind of master list. All the others deal with unreleased titles in general and not just those on laserdisc.

Re-read the stipulations from the first post. We're not doing commentaries and other bonus features, just movies in general.

I'd like to make a motion that we can nominate LD releases with interesting/unique bonus material and/or edits (or maybe packaging) even if the movie proper is on DVD. I mean, that's why I'm hanging on to my criterion "Tootsie" and a number of others LDs. ("The Howling" also comes to mind.)
Meanwhile, I would like to see "Godzilla Fantasia" make it on a release, especially in R1. It's one of my favorite LD. It probably saw the light of day by now in Japan on DVD but I'm not sure. Another biggie for me is the Giorgio Moroder version of "Metropolis." I would have also stated "From Beyond" but that's reportedly coming out!
Oh, yeah, "Night of Dark Shadows" and "House of Dark Shadows."
