What great classic titles will Warner Bros release in 2007/8?

As an admirer of Warner Bros restoration techniques, I was wondering which titles they were due to practise their usual superb remastering skills upon next?

Hmmm. Usually whatever was shown at DC's Screen on the Green the previous summer is a good indication. However last year featured several films that were not WB properties. Two that are possibilities are To Have and Have Not and The Band Wagon.

Rocky also shown, but that has already gotten its SE released.

Rocky is an MGM product, not Warners. To Have and Have Not and Band Wagon are already out.

Warners has said 200+ classic titles will get released in 2007. Look for them to start releasing more of the "series" type movies in the next year or so.

In 2007 we will probably see:

Tarzan #3 with Lex Barker
Charlie Chan Monogram box set w/ Black Camel
The Saint/Falcon box set
Powell/Loy non Thin Man films
Rooney/Garland non Andy Hardy films

Andy Hardy reportedly will come out in 2008. This is based a blurb I read in the paper where the columnist asked WHV about this.

The Bowery Boys are either 2007 or 2008 depending on the status of the restorations.

There are rumblings that the Perry Mason theatrical films (primarily with Warren William) are also being prepped for eventual release.

Also, look for some public domain films to be given a proper release. This Is the Army is in the pipeline (per Robert Harris) and Sante Fe Trail may also be in the works (but that is unconfirmed).

So many movies, so little money.....
