Just so there's no confusion, this isn't the cartoon series based on live action movie that prominently featured Slimer. That's "The Real Ghostbusters." This is another series which was produced by a company that owned the name Ghostbusters.

In other words, wholly inferior.

I kinda liked Filmation's effort. Loved the Real Ghostbusters, but this show had its own (cheesy) thing going ...

It wasn't black and white. It as mind-numbing color.

Ah, so I didn't hallucinate this. In the early 80s, I would see a big old school VHS box of a live-action "Ghostbusters" with 2 guys and 1 cheesy, "Trading Places" ape costume. For years I would remember that and think, "that couldn't have been 'Ghostbusters'..."

Anyway, where the hell is REAL Ghostbusters?!

I was so mad when i saw this news on tvshowsondvd.com because at first I almost though it was for The Real Ghostbusters. Anyway, it'll probably never happen. :(
