DVD Digipack, Lint on DVD's and digipack surface

I bought Six Feet Under Seasons 1,2, and 3 last week. I opened my sets and I found that there's some lint fibers on the surface of the DVD. There's even lint and dust on the surface of the digipak slots they're placed in.

Does anyone else have this problem on their SFU sets?

Have you had this kind of lint problem on other brand-new DVD sets? It's really pissing me off. I'm thinking about returning them for a refund.

Are you fucking kidding me?!

(and this is from an anal-retentive packaging freak)

I'm with Filmmaker on this one. I'm an anal-retentive freak when it comes to my DVDs, too (I was even called a Case Nazi by a clerk at Best Buy). But if I was considering returning a DVD because it had lint, I'd seriously think about seeking counseling for obsessive-compulsive disorder.

 I 'm also an anal-retentive freak, but if this happened to me i'd just take care of it with my microfiber cloth.

I agree that this takes the OCD cake (of course I understand if the fear is that you're getting used and/or defective product), and you should know that this can be a problem with any paper-based packaging. Since you're observant of that kind of stuff, just use a cloth or compressed air on your discs before you try to play them.

... and don't forget to boil them. Give it a go twice, one for about 30 minutes before you watch it and the second time for about 60 minutes. More time the second round to cover the discs and the case!!!!

...don't forget to buy one of these, too...

You don't have anything to worry about, trust me. A lot of my DVDs get dust and lint on them, but it's easy to wipe off.

(...and this is coming from someone who actually suffers from OCD. I'm a nazi when it comes to the fact that my DVDs have to be in perfect shape.)

Also, if the DVD isn't perfectly aligned when you open it up (the disc has been rotated clockwise or counterclockwise), then it has been tampered with and should be exchanged immediately...
