When Herowork (1977) comes out on DVD, then all movies will have been released on disc, or the dead will walk the earth, I forget which.

Until then, I hope also to see the DVD releases of:

Prospero's Books
Crimewave
Blood & Donuts (reported available in Canada)
The Reflecting Skin
Static (1986)
The Buck Flower Masterworks Collection

Zapped Again! has been on DVD for years, only the original has remained missing in action.

I got lucky the night before Thanksgiving and found VHS copies of Zapped! and No Holds Barred, so at least I have them in some form.

Finally, it's The Legend Of Billie Jean

HOMEBODIES was indeed released on VHS through Embassy Video.

I'd love to see the Monster Squad too. But for Rocketman, do you mean the Rocketeer? That is a disney movie and is on DVD. I don't think Rocket Man is a Disney movie.

I think the wait for 1492: Conquest Of Paradise to be released on DVD has to be the most ridiculous ever. The score from Vaneglis is bigger, more recognized than the film itself I would assume, so that is a selling point. It's a Ridley Scott film, he has a huge following, so collectors would want to buy. It also while not being truly historically accurate is a great film for educators to play to students in class, and the like. You add big names like Depardieu, Weaver, Assante, Wincott in the mix and you have fans who would want to buy. Also as the years have passed on by many Ridley Scott films have been released where this could have been used as a tie-in. Pick your poison I guess, there are many, many selling points. Just RIDICULOUS! and STUPID!

Zabriskie Point is out on an R5/PAL DVD. The transfer is fine if you're worried about that.

They've all probably been mentioned previously, but they are worth repeating:

- Howard the Duck
- Harry and the Hendersons
- The Legend of Billy Jean
- The Twiglight Zone Movie (this one is rather surprising)

I guess it's been awhile since I looked it up. I see Amazon has a Russian version (Film Prestige) but it's full screen, and DVDBeaver has the AR as 2.3. Xploitedcinema has the same Russian full screen version. Is this the DVD you're referring to? If not, do you know a source selling this DVD in the correct AR?

I mention it every time this topic comes up: "Ace in the Hole." It's never been released on any home-video format. Come on, people. It's a Billy Wilder movie. With Kirk Douglas. And one of the most cynical movies ever made. What the hell are we waiting for?

Universal still hasn't released the Martin Short laughfest, "Pure Luck". It did appear on the Universal HD channel a few weeks back.
