Face Off SE DVD?
 

I sold my copy of Face off about 2 years ago..... what the hell happened to the "pending" SE release!?!? If someone knows anything it'll be much appreciated.... Thanks.

According to the Wikipedia entry for Face/Off (yeah, I know), there will be a 10th anniversary SE on DVD, HD-DVD, and Blu-Ray this year. Can anyone back this up? The article doesn't have a reference.

I believe this was mentioned at CES in Jan. I assume for all three formats - SD/HD/BD.

Yet another I've been waiting for. Hope it comes.

I'd rebuy it if there was an alternate cut of the movie.

Here's what it needs:

- a spankin' new anamorphic transfer
- 5.1 EX and DTS-ES mixes
- Woo commentary
- LOADS of deleted scenes
- trailers
- etc.

agreed. i'd also like to see a documentary comparing face/off to john woo's action films from his latter hong kong days (the killer, hard boiled, etc), including interviews featuring woo's thoughts on the differences between making an action film in hong kong and in hollywood. some sort of unique packaging would also be a nice touch.

that said, i'd be more than happy with just a new transfer and DTS.

I've been waiting for this one too!! It's just in time for its 10th Anniversary. Speaking of 10th Anniversary, when in the hell is Criterion going to release Fincher's THE GAME?

It's about time they released this. Great popcorn flic. I sold my old copy as well about 2 years ago in an EBay Lot sale. I was raising some money for a PC Upgrade and figured an SE must be around the corner. It's been one helluva long corner....

Glad this is finally seeing a SE release from Paramount, who has a history as you can see of making consumers wait it out. You did just that, congrats. Let's just hope the cover art doesn't blow, I like the 1st pressings artwork.
