Hollywoodland (R1) in February

Universal Studios Home Video have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Hollywoodland for 6th February 2007 priced at $29.98 SRP. Ben Affleck, Adrien Brody, Diane Lane and Bob Hoskins star in this film based on one of Hollywood’s most infamous real-life mysteries, the death of actor George Reeves who portrayed Superman in the original TV series.

Available in separate Widescreen and Full Screen editions the film will be presented with English and French DD5.1 Surround audio and optional English SDH, French and Spanish subtitles. Extras are TBC.

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has finally revealed full details for Hollywoodland. Due on February 6th, 2007, the film stars Adrien Brody, Diane Lane and Ben Affleck. Available in separate anamorphic widescreen and fullscreen editions, each with Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks, extras will include an audio commentary with director Allen Coulter, deleted scenes and the three behind-the-scenes featurettes "Behind the Headlines," "Hollywood Then and Now," and "Re-Creating Old Hollywood." Rounding out the disc are trailers. Retail is $29.98.

Yay. Too bad it won't be the theatrical trailer that's included.

That's what pisses me off about Universal. They produce some great trailers and they never surface on the DVD (exs.: The Black Dahlia, Miami Vice, Brokeback Mountain).

Looking forward to seeing this. Not enough for a blind buy but will be in the Netflix line.
