Family Ties: The Complete First Season ---> 2/20/07

It's two years late, but it looks like this show is finally coming out on DVD! DVDEmpire and DeepDiscountDVD both have Season 1 up for pre-order. I hope it's not delayed again, this is one of my most wanted shows on DVD.

I might be wrong, but wasn't the first season more about the parents and on the second season, it focused on the kids?

I just got done telling a customer that I figured we'd never see this released, since it was over 2 years late.

Just a few months ago I told another customer that we'd never see Saturday Night Live seasons sets released.

I'm going to start telling customers that we'll never see WKRP season sets.

Well hopefully they release these as fast as they did The Brady Bunch. We got all five seasons of that in what, a year and a half?

I guess you could say that. Especially in the very first episodes. The show started to hit its stride towards the end of the first season but took off in season 2. Isn't "The Fugitive" episodes with Tom Hanks in the first season? That's my favorite episode.

Very happy to hear this is coming out, my vhs tapes are completely worn out. Now the only show on my want list is Spin City and Cosby...and a redo of the 1st Cosby Show season.

I believed Paramount released Andy Griffith also. Those came out pretty quick too. I hope they do the same with FT.

yeah nice cover.. it's weird seeing michael gross without the beard, but he indeed did not have one all of season 1. Starting in season 2 he has it the rest of the series i think.

My favorite quote from Family Ties:

"There's a kangroo in my living room!"

Maybe not an exact quote, but my favorites

Mallory: "I threatened her with the hot fruit filling." (referring to the McDonalds apple pies).

Different episode:
Mr Keaton: "If these were pop tarts, we would have been killed"
