The Greatest Frankenstein movie of them all finally makes it to DVD
I am talking, of course ,of Frankenstein Conquers The World.Media Blasters acquired the rights from Toho and look for a late Feb. 2007 release date according to DVD Drive-In.Get rid of your other unofficial Frankenstein movies-this is the real deal.

War of the Gargantuas. Hell yeah. Haven't seen that one since I was a kid. Watched it everytime it came on. I'm almost afraid to watch it now though for the same reason. Now that I have matured, sort of, my tastes have definitely changed. I'm sure I'd buy it though if it were released for the nostalgia factor alone. Even now, as I'm typing this I'm playing the movie in my head as if I saw it yesterday, and it's been at least 25 years.

Frankenstein Conquers the World has the 'honor' of being one of my earliest theatrical movie memories. I saw it circa 1970, and would swear it was part of a double bill with Disney's original Herbie the Love Bug. I can still smell the popcorn from that matinee on a Saturday afternoon....
BTW, my earliest theatrical memory is of Bambi, particularly the fire in the forest. I had to be all of 4 years old and was petrified.

War of the Gargantus will be released by Classic Media, who also had the rights to FCTW. They let the rights lapse, and were convinced to reacquire them. Apparently, Media Blasters beat them to the punch.
Classic Media will release all of their Godzilla titles before they release WOTG, so it's going to be awhile.
Media Blasters will also be releasing another Toho Classic, Lattitude Zero. Read more about both of these upcoming releases at SciFi Japan.
