Wolfen SE ever?

This film is mistakenly listed as having a commentary by Albert Finney, Diane Venora and Edward James Olmos- anyone know the story behind this? I personally would love to see a SE of this underrated film, if only for the commentary and a chance to dump another snapper.
According to a post on IMDB, there was about a half hour excised from Michael Wadleigh's cut for the theatrical release. Not sure if that footage is still kicking around.

Great book and very good movie. Inexpensive DVD at most stores.

Underrated is right; I'd happily upgrade! I love the Predator-vision years before PREDATOR was released.

out-of-sync?

On a related note, has anyone else noticed that the current WB version on DVD is out-of-sync? I find it so distracting I can barely watch one of my favorite genre flicks. I've only seen one other person mention this.

I'd definitely grab a new edition of this movie, which seems to have been forgotton by most people.

imdb actually lists 'Wolfen' as having 6-channel sound for it's theatrical 70mm prints - not sure if the surrounds were split stereo, but the current DVD is only 2.0 stereo sound.

Loved the book but the movie wasn't true enough to the book to please me. I was very disappointed. If I had seen the movie first I might not feel this way.

Glad that some people enjoyed the movie.

Only if they pony up and include the following:

A cameo (about 15 seconds) by Tom Waits as a bar owner playing the piano and singing his song "Jitterbug Boy" was included in theatrical prints and early TV versions, but had to be removed from the film for video and DVD releases due to copyright reasons.
