AFI 's second greatest comedy....

Tootsie. The current disc is anamorphic, but thats it. Nothing else at all.

I'll second (or third...) The Game. I love Fincher, but can't stoop to pick this one up.

Broadcast News. A classic Brooks (two of them) comedy. I think it should either be the "Pretty Peppy Party" edition OR "the Smartest Person in the Room" Edition... Terrible Transfer.

Beetlejuice. I'll keep waiting for this one.

More recent released... hmmm....

Kill Bill? Almost every single new film gets a decent release, no matter how bad it is, and Kill Bill is really bare.

I'm certain a Road Warrior SE was confirmed for '07 in one of the HTF/Warner chats earlier this year (can't provide a link, since searching is disabled at the moment...). I unloaded my original release a few days after.

Not merely riddled with edge enhancement. The aliasing problems here are almost as bad as in MGM's EXODUS, making the film practically unviewable on a screen larger than 27".

Superb film, bad video presentation.

Disney, you listening? (Of course not).

Adventures of Baron Munchausen could use a special edtion now.

Maybe have a commentary with Ray D. Tutto.

Yeah, I think that if they were going to do a SE, they wouldn't have released it on HD-DVD with the same features.

Any Kubrick movie that's not titled "Spartacus"
Kill Bill
South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut (hopefully we'll see one next year when South Park's 10th anniversary arrives)

Definitely have to go with Braveheart.

As well as all the Scream films which are all non-anamorphic.

Yes, it's not a true SE unless it has a freaking anamorphic transfer!!!!! Scream, Misery, True Lies, The Abyss, Good Will Hunting, Broken Arrow, Armageddon, etc....in region 1 of course.

How is this shocking when we've been told he didn't want supplements? Hell, I'll be more shocked when they come out.

First and foremost... COMMANDO (1985) needs a 2-disc ASAP.

Kill Bill and Scream as well.

Two of my favorite films, although they're probably not "popular" enough to warrant SEs:

Planes, Trains & Automobiles
Shoot To Kill

Really? I didn't know it had all that. I just noticed it's still in a snapper and never even bothered to pick it up and look at the features since I just assumed it would be released as a "special edition" in a keep case. For some reason I remember it coming out fairly soon after the theatrical release and I always just assumed it was a barebones version.

Rosemary's Baby

This and Chinatown are two Paramount DVDs that I think would be obvious SE choices. I broke down and bought Rosemary's Baby for $3 from the DDD B1G1 sale going on now but I'm still holding off on Chinatown.

it would be great if Criterion could wrangle the rights from Columbia to port their laserdisc extras to a DVD special edition... (I ain't holding my breath).

2001 A Space Odyssey
Mr. Holland's Opus
Rainmaker
Bottle Rocket (SHOCKED Criterion hasn't picked up the option to do the SE on it)
Caddyshack (There was a 20th anniversary edition, but in a snapper case and next to nothing for bonus features)
Ghostbusters
Logan's Run
Election
Galaxy Quest (I know they have more material on hand they could use for bonus features)
