Thanks for the heads up

Shagrath 09-05-06 12:10 PM

Yay! Yet another release on 12/5! This is gonna be so frickin' expensive, but so frickin' worth it.

nemein 09-05-06 12:20 PM

Which means it just misses the fall DDD sale :( Thanks for the news anyway though :D

tenzor 09-05-06 12:45 PM

I can't wait for this release, Any word as to if there is going to be a prequel leading into Season 6 on the bonus disc?

They said they were filming one, so you'd think it would be on there. Not to mention that Season 6 could really use a prequel considering that
Spoiler:
Jack is apparently no longer in Chinese custody when the day begins.

JasonTerminator 09-05-06 04:21 PM

Hopefully they'll have a great deal on it the week it comes out, since it's gonna miss the DDD sale.

I don't think I'll be able to resist this siren's song.

Anubis2005X 09-23-06 10:25 AM

I think it's interesting that NONE of the choices from the Season 5 survey made it to the final cover. But that's okay since I didn't really like any of them...

Awesome. I love that Fox really makes the 24 sets an event...they're extremely well done, great features and thankfully they are keeping cover art consistant! (some of the ones people could vote on were terrible...final product looks good though). Bring on Bauer!

Sweeeet! A definite must-buy come December 5.

Wick 09-24-06 05:21 PM

I'll definitely be picking this up, but I don't know when. I still need to get the Third and Fourth seasons.

tenzor 09-25-06 05:15 PM

damn there is no prequel for season 6.

I'm sure there will be one. Guess these aren't final specs.

TV Shows on DVD confirms season 6 prequel will be included on season 5 DVD.

DJariya 09-26-06 05:07 PM

Thank goodness there is a prequel! Jumping ahead 20 months without any explanation on what happened to Jack in China would have sucked.

24 DVDs are an annual event! I skip the show just to wait for the DVD, as that's really the only way to experience this show properly. I can't wait for this one!

So your actually going to wait until December 2007 to watch season 6? My goodness!! After seeing the trailer, there is no way in hell I could wait that long.

jmj713 11-20-06 01:05 PM

I'd like the bonus disc, but is that price right? $57.99? I have it on preorder at Amazon for way less.

Also, don't forget, there's a separate release coming out at the same time: "24 Behind the Scenes: The Editing Process"

The trailer does look great! But I'll be deep into Season 5, which I haven't seen yet, so I won't mind waiting until next year!

Do you ever read spoilers? I used to do that with some shows but I usually read a spoiler somewhere that's unexpected (ESPN's Sports Guy or a thread on PS3), so now I take no chances.

DJariya 11-21-06 08:34 AM

www.tvshowsondvd.com also says that FOX is releasing the 1st 4 hours of Season 6 on DVD on Tuesday January 16th. That's a pretty quick turnaround since Hour 3-4 will have aired the previous day. There is also a 12 minute preview of Hour 5.

I wonder if anyone will actually buy this.

Simpson Purist 11-21-06 09:39 AM

Interesting strategy, though I suspect most of the 24 newbies will either have already seen or TiVo'd the first 4 episodes, downloading them through iTunes, or just waiting for the entire season to come out on DVD in about 11 months.
