United 93: LE - Cancelled?

DVD Talk Limited Edition
I picked mine up from Best Buy around 8:30 on Tuesday night. They had a ton of 1 disc left, but only 2 "limited editions" left.

Got my cancellation from DDD this morning. It's already shipping from Target.com, so I wasn't too bummed. I also placed an order with Overstock.com, but I'm pretty sure that won't go through.

Thanks to whomever recommended Target.com. I've never used their online store before but I just received shipping confirmation. DVDPlanet cancelled my order for this dvd. Their service has been kind of shitty lately.

Just grabbed one this morning at a local Best Buy. There were 2 sets left. Though, I did also just find this 10 minutes ago thank to another forum: http://us.yesasia.com/assocred.asp?C...id-1004482671/
A very reputeable site for those uninitiated. However, they do list a 7-14 day shipping delay so I'm not 100% on fully acquiring one with a note from Yesasia like this. Perhaps someone could chime in ....

I really should stop looking at these types of threads.
I wasn't originally planning on picking this up but after seeing a few copies at Best Buy today, I'm starting to become anxious that I need to run out and buy the LE immediately.

I picked up the 2-disc set at Fry's in Anaheim, CA for 24.99 today. That had at least 5-8 copies. Now is this going to be a trend with most Universal releases? Should we now expect a 2-disc LE Miami Vice DVD later this year?

Target.com is out, they had it when I was going through the ordering rigamaroll, and then when it came time to press the final button, they were out.
However, Barnes & Noble online - bn.com - seems to ONLY be selling the 2-disc LE. The LE artwork is used, the number of discs in the product description is "2," so I think it's good. Just weird they'd only be selling the LE, and it's shipping in 24 hours. Heads up to all those who haven't yet found a copy.

Well, it's out of stock at www.bn.com now. Jeez, these days Universal sure is getting good at making their limited editions limited editions.

I ordered a copy from Target.com Thursday and it has shipped. I should get it Monday. Just In case it wasn't available, I ordered it from Barnes & Noble too. It is also showing it has shipped. So I should have an extra copy to sell someone if they are interested.

That's the whole point of it being a Limited Edition. Otherwise wouldn't it just be another Special or Collector's Edition. I call that very very true advertising. On ya, Universal!
