Why no season 5 release of Magnum P.I. along with season 5 of The A Team?

The first 4 seasons of The A-Team and Magnum P.I. were announced and released together.

The 5th season of The A-Team was announced quite some time ago, but season 5 of Magnum P.I. was not announced with it.

Does anyone here know why?

I've been wondering about Magnum P.I. Season 5 too. Maybe they're just taking longer because they're going to be single sided this time. IMO, it would make sense to release Magnum P.I. on the say day as Simon & Simon. As I remember watching them back to back when I was a kid.

There's the possibility that they may never be released, or at least not anytime soon. I know either Fox or WB or both pulled several seasons of ongoing series releases due to the fact that the previous releases hadn't performed as well as they had expected. You would think that Magnum and A-Team wouldn't be affected though. Very popular shows back in the day.

The ones that you buy are double sided. They make special single sided DVDs for rental businesses.

I looking at an advertisement in my ordering book from my DVD distributor and both The A-Team Season Five: The Final Season and Magnum P.I. The Complete Fifth Season are scheduled for October 10, 2006.

How do you figure? I'd rather have single sided disks than double sided...

I'd rather own single sided discs and rent double-sided ones. Why not get two rentals for the "price" of one?

Thanks.

Maybe they just skipped an official announcement.

Will they ever release a special box set with all 5 seasons of the A-Team with special packaging like Universal did with Miami Vice & Incredible hulk complete series sets?
