Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced the release of The Devil and Daniel Johnston for the 19th of September at a retail price of around $24.96. The documentary, which focuses on the life of manic-depressive genius singer/songwriter/artist Daniel Johnston, will be presented in its original 1.85:1 theatrical aspect ratio and include an English Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track and optional French subtitles. Extras will include deleted scenes, a 'Daniel's Reunion with His Muse, Lorie' featurette, a behind-the-scenes featurette, a Sundance Film Festival featurette, feature-length audio commentary with Director Jeff Feuerzeig, Daniel's Tape Deck Recordings, FMU Broadcast: Daniel's Radio Appearance, and weblinks to both Daniel Johnston's official website and his MySpace site.
